Venue:NAGASAKI BRICK HALL
This workshop (Gratama Workshop) was launched by late professor Tetsuo Shiba at Osaka University in 2000 as one of the celebration activities within the commemoration of the 400 years of relations between the Netherlands and Japan in chemical sciences, which originates from the contributions and devotion of Dr. Koenraad Wolter Gratama (1831-1888), who founded a chemistry school in Osaka.
The purpose of the workshops is to present and discuss contributions of chemical sciences and technology of both countries towards a sustainable society in the 21st century.
The first Gratama workshop (2000) was held in Osaka, and since then the workshop has been organized every three to four years (2nd; Utrecht, 3rd; Hyogo, 4th; Delft, 5th; Tokyo, 6th; Groningen). It is our great pleasure to organize the 7th Gratama Symposium, which is held in Nagasaki, Japan. We have plenary and keynote invited speakers from both the Netherlands and Japan to contribute to challenging topics.
The 7th Gratama Symposium is focusing on the following eight areas,
At the 7th Gratama Workshop, the student poster presentation awards were presented to the following three students out of 37 poster presentations. Congratulation! Photo
